The summer season is an excellent time to sail the Beagle Channel. November is the beginning of the penguin season in Ushuaia. Thousands of penguins migrate to these latitudes to mate, lay their eggs and wait for their offspring to hatch. It is an ideal time to get a closer look at them, meet them and even make eye contact! Since 1994, El Tren del Fin del Mundo has been operating as a tourist attraction. It goes deep into the Tierra del Fuego National Park and takes you to know the secrets of the history and the landscape in comfortable carriages. A trekking of moderate difficulty, in which you will cross lenga forests, pass through peat bogs and be surrounded by the most incredible nature, walking along with the species that inhabit the place. Little by little you will begin to see the Emerald Lagoon, of an intense turquoise colour and unparalleled beauty. Its location in the mountain range gives it a perfect frame to rest and then start the return trip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tierra del Fuego National Park<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Visit the largest protected area on the island. With its almost 70,000 hectares, the Tierra del Fuego National Park surprises with its combination of landscapes and local fauna. It is one of the few that is made up of sub-Antarctic forest, mountains and an outlet to the sea over the Beagle Channel. It also has several waterways and Lake Acigami, of glacial origin. In Lapataia Bay, which is inside the park, the famous Route 3, which links Buenos Aires with the end of the world, ends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
