What species of penguins can be seen in Ushuaia?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Four species of penguins live on the island: the Magellanic Penguins, the Gentoo Penguins, the Yellow-plumed Penguins and the King Penguins. The largest and oldest colony of penguins on the island is the Magellanic Penguins, the other species have been arriving over the years, but fewer are recorded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Magellanic Penguins are between 45 and 70 cm tall and weigh about 3 kg. They feed on small fish and some crustaceans. This species of penguin is very fast in the water, and can swim and dive several metres.
