This excursion is a must for those who wish to connect with the untouched nature of the extreme south and learn about the living history of the Isla Grande de Tierra del Fuego.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>The Beginning of the Adventure: From the Hotel to the Train at the End of the World<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Our day starts early, at 8:00 a.m., with our <\/span><b>Pick Up directly at your accommodation<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. After travelling just 8 kilometres along the emblematic National Route 3, we will arrive at the historic Fuegian Southern Railway Station.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Here, travellers have the optional opportunity to board the legendary <\/span><b>End of the World Train<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. On a magnificent 7-kilometre route, you will travel along the same path that the inmates of the old Ushuaia prison used to walk at the beginning of the 20th century. Aboard elegant carriages, you will go through forests of lenga trees, peat bogs and the spectacular waterfall of La Macarena in the Paseo del Valle, while the story on board immerses you in the city's penal past.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For those passengers who prefer not to do the rail section, our transport will continue the journey into the interior of the park, a protected area of unique biodiversity dedicated to the preservation of the sub-Antarctic forest. We will meet up with the rest of the group at the final station to continue our joint exploration into the more remote parts of the reserve.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Ensenada Zaratiegui Bay and the Mail from the End of the World<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One of the main attractions of our itinerary is the visit to the <\/span><b>Ensenada Zaratiegui Bay<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. This bay offers one of the most captivating views of the <\/span><b>Beagle Channel<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">with the Chilean islands of Redonda and Estorbo on the horizon.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is the site of the famous <\/span><b>End of the World Postal Unit<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The southernmost post office on the planet. This water mirror of glacial origin, shared with the neighbouring Republic of Chile, offers an environment of absolute peace. Its crystalline waters, framed by the C\u00f3ndor and Guanaco hills, are the perfect scenery to observe the behaviour of native birds such as the cauquenes and the steamer duck.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Afterwards, we will visit the <\/span><b>Alakush Interpretation Centre<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. This museum space is fundamental to understand the magnitude of the ecosystem we are visiting. Here you can learn about the geology of the area and the culture of the <\/span><b>Y\u00e1manas<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The original inhabitants who sailed these coasts in canoes thousands of years ago.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Lapataia Bay: The End of the Panamerican Route<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The highlight of the day comes with a visit to the <\/span><b>Lapataia Bay<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. This site has an unparalleled symbolic value: it is the <\/span><b>end of the Pan-American Route<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. This is the end of the road system that connects the entire American continent, from Alaska to this precise point in the south of Argentina.
