A low-difficulty outing. We combine two activities, mountain trekking and boat paddling.
individual inflatable boats on the Lago Escondido. No previous experience is necessary but a minimum of physical condition is required. The first part of the tour takes about an hour by van, leaving Ushuaia city and driving along the RN 3 to the Garibaldi Pass, the highest point of the mountain where the trekking starts. We pass through peat bogs and the Twin Lagoons, the 360° landscape of the Andes is beautiful.
After the first hike we return to the vehicle and cross the other side of the mountain range to stop at the head of Lago Escondido. Here we will share a delicious lunch while we prepare the boat equipment. After a briefing on paddling technique and safety, we start paddling, floating, feeling the movement of the water, we move in search of different landscapes. The boats are very stable which makes them very safe and easy to control. If the paddling activity cannot be done due to weather conditions, we will modify the route towards other trekking activities of low difficulty but of high scenic attraction.
