Pre-trip:
We recommend that you book the excursions in advance so that you don't run out of places. If you still have PREVIAJE credit, you can use it until 31 December 2022.

The most popular excursions for tourists are:
- Trekking to Laguna Esmeralda
What to pack?
Patagonia is characterised by its changeable climate. Here we say that we can have the 4 seasons in one day. During the summer the temperature in Ushuaia ranges between 5 °C and 15 °C.
This is why we dress in layers (like an onion!) to regulate body temperature as there can be a big difference in temperature between the interiors of hotels or businesses and the outside.

Spring and summer are the windiest months of the year. So we recommend that you bring sweaters or fleece, warm jackets, ideally windbreakers and waterproofs. If you plan to do some hiking in the mountains, don't forget your trekking trousers, which are quick-drying, and high-heeled shoes (that cover up to the ankle) to avoid sprains on the way.

Don't forget a hat, scarf or buff and gloves. It is always better to be overdressed than underdressed. Sunglasses and sunscreen are important, although it is not so hot, the thinning of the ozone layer is over the Fuegian archipelago and the radiation is usually very high.
During your stay:
Malvinas Argentinas International Airport is 7 km from the city centre. You can take a remis or taxi from there or hire a transfer with us. The good thing is that we will track your flight in case it is early or late. Someone will be waiting for you at the airport to assist you if you have any problems with your luggage. On the way to your hotel you will receive information about the activities you can do during your stay. We will also check you in for your return flight.
Ushuaia's shopping centre is small and you'll find most of it on San Martin Street.
Remember that businesses in the city close at noon, except for restaurants, souvenir shops and museums. The rest open at 10 am and close at 12.30 or 1 pm and reopen at 3.30 or 4 pm and finally close at 8.30 or 9 pm.

Keep in mind that not all restaurants are bookable, so it's best to go early. If you want to try local food, we recommend spider crab caught directly from the Beagle Channel, as well as shellfish and sea urchins, black hake from the depths of the South Atlantic or trout. From the north you can try the Fuegian lamb from the typical ranches of the area and in some gourmet dishes you will taste the salicornia, a kind of sea asparagus that grows in places where fresh and sea water are combined.
If you have a sweet tooth, we recommend you try the calafate, a fruit that grows in the region and you can enjoy it in jam, liqueur or ice cream. In some places you will find pastries with calafate or rhubarb, a plant brought by the first English immigrants to the region.
The city is generally safe and tourist friendly. You will be able to walk around quietly at night as well.

The Tourist Office is located in front of the harbour entrance. You will find information about Ushuaia and the surrounding area. You can stamp your passport or the postcards you buy with stamps saying “Ushuaia Fin del Mundo” or “Ushuaia Puerta a la Antártida”. It has free wifi and public toilets (something important to know if you are going to be walking around the city for a long time).
The Shopping Paseo del Fuego is a 5 minute drive from the centre of Ushuaia. Ask our guides about discounts for our passengers.
Along the waterfront you will find three characteristic signs that you have to take pictures of: “Ushuaia, Fin del Mundo” (Ushuaia, End of the World) is between the port ticket offices, the one showing the distance from Ushuaia to La Quiaca is in the Augusto Lasserre square, in front of the port and a few steps from the Tourist Office. Finally, the one that says “USHUAIA” in giant letters is on the waterfront and the Pasarela Fique.
After the trip:
Share on our social networks how you enjoyed your trip to the end of the world!!!
Don't wait too long to hire the excursiones so that you don't miss out on the Ushuaia experience with us.
